Here’s a local newspaper article about the Rays saying history suggests they won’t move anywhere before their lease ends in 2027. But I don’t buy that.
Just move the Rays to New Jersey already and change their horrendous name.
I’m sorry for ranting, but shit like this pisses me off to no avail. How can they say that the Rays have no fans? They are not the only team in MLB that don’t sell out crowds on a daily base. Take the Florida Marlins(with a brand new stadium), The Oakland A’s , the Angels, The Rangers, hell the Yankees. The person that wrote this is truly ignorant or just doesn’t watch baseball. I have seen many games this season and on more than one occasion I’ve seen half empty stadiums; not just at the Trop. Which by the way if the Rays were to stay there til 2027 ok fine. It won’t stop them from playing great ball. I know one thing though no way in hell they are moving to NJ as suggested; and changing the name?? Screw you. Haters gonna hate.
